Foggy View of Istanbul

This week, I've been out enjoying this beautiful sunny weather in Istanbul.

I'm often strolling around by myself. My life here hasn't changed.

Yesterday, another blonde, American friend joined me. We wandered up to Taksim, down busy Istiklal Caddesi, through slightly run-down Tophane and back to the Kabatas Iskelesi - about 4 km total. We popped into several shops and two art galleries here and there.

I'd say it was a perfect day in Istanbul.

When we arrived at Kabatas, I was surprised to see the heavy fog enveloping the Bosphorus Bridge and the Sarayburnu peninsula where Sultanahmet is located. The pale pink skyline was highlighted by the Topkapi Palace and the minarets of the Ayasofya and the Blue Mosque.
To see this much of a foggy haze in the middle of the afternoon was rare for me! I guess I don't walk along the Bosphorus as much as I should. My friend said she can see the fog more often from the Asian side where she lives.

Well, I couldn't resist take several photos and writing a small post about foggy Istanbul. Enjoy!
Another foggy view of Sarayburnu as the waves slashed up by me.
I could barely see the Bosphorus Bridge from here.
Today, I'm heading out and about again - by myself in Istanbul - with my camera in tow.
